Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
FranchiseNegosyo respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who it may be shared with, and the rights you hold under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) and its implementing rules.
1. What we collect
- Inquiry details you submit: your name, email, optional phone number, and the requirements you describe (budget range, preferred industries, locations, timeline, and your message).
- Account details if you choose to create an account: email, name, and password (stored hashed). An account is always optional.
- Usage data: pages visited and interactions, used in aggregate to improve the platform.
2. Why we process it
- To respond to your inquiry and connect you with the right people.
- To operate your account, saved lists, and tool history.
- To keep the platform safe, accurate, and improving.
- To send updates you explicitly opted into (you can unsubscribe anytime).
3. Who your data may be shared with
We share your inquiry details only with the recipients you consent to at the moment you submit, which may include: the franchise brand your inquiry is about (or its verified representative), and vetted independent franchise advisors matched to your request. Nothing is shared without your explicit, freely given consent, and consent is never pre-ticked or bundled. The exact consent wording is on the consent page.
4. Your rights
Under RA 10173 you may, at any time:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated data.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to lawful retention needs.
- Lodge a complaint with us or with the National Privacy Commission.
Account holders can exercise these rights directly from the Privacy panel in their account. Anyone, including guests, can email [email protected] and we will act on the request within the periods the law provides.
5. Retention and security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymize it. Data is protected with industry-standard safeguards: encrypted transport, hashed credentials, access controls, and audit logging.
6. Data Protection Officer
Our designated Data Protection Officer can be reached at [email protected].
7. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes to how consented data is shared will always ask for fresh consent.
